CrystalInfo is a software that allows you to view information on your hard drive and some external drives.
Once you initiate the appliion, CrystalInfo automatically displays a list of details on your hard drive.
The user interface of the program is standard, but novice users would probably have a hard time understanding the information displayed here.
You can view the drive model name and size, firmware, , interface type, transfer mode, drive letter, buffer size, NV cache size, rotation rate, power on count and on hours, and more.
Furthermore, you can view the hlth status and temperature of the drive, as well as S.M.A.R.T. information (e.g. "Rd Error Rate", "Spin-Up Time", "Start/Stop Count", "Seek Error Rate", "End-to-End Error"), such as current, worst, threshold and raw values.
In addition, you can access " Management" to crte a simple partition (basic, spanned or stripped), configure conversion options, as well as extend and shrink partitions. You can also open the Device Manager, set CrystalInfo to run at startup, enable advanced srch, select your preferred language, change the font, and more.
The appliion uses a low amount of system resources and it comes with a help file that could have better explained the ftures. It didn't cause us any problems during our tests and we mainly recommend CrystalInfo to power users.
